In endorsing two candidates from Marshall, for vastly different offices and in different political primaries, it is important that readers know we don't do so for parochial reasons. These two men don't deserve your vote because they are from Marshall, but because they are clearly the best candidate in their race.
For Justice, Sixth Court of Appeals, Republican Primary: Bailey Moseley.
To serve on the Court of Appeals, one does not have to have any political experience whatsoever. What is needed is a long and unblemished legal background. That is why our choice is Marshall's Bailey Moseley.
Moseley has practiced law in this area for 35 years and has always held to the highest standards of the legal profession. He is currently serving as a director of the Texas College of Real Estate Attorneys and as a member of the governing council of the Probate and Trust Law section of the Texas State Bar. His wide range of experience will do him well on this court.
Bailey is also a responsible member of this community and has been called upon time and again to help. When something has needed to be done in Marshall, Moseley was not afraid to stand up and do it.
A longtime Republican, Moseley has a conservative judicial philosophy, which means he will fit in well with the other justices on the court.
If you vote in the Republican primary, we would urge you to vote for Moseley because he is the best candidate, who just happens to be from Marshall.
