Bailey Moseley Speaks against Judicial Activism
Gilmer Mirror
Excerpts from story...
Bailey Moseley, candidate for a judgeship on the 6th Court of Appeals, spoke
against “judicial activism…where judges try to legislate from the bench.”
He said law “should be the way the legislature writes it,” not changed by a judge who doesn’t like the law.
Moseley also said he favored posting the Ten Commandments in courtrooms, but that he would not do so, as a Mississippi judge had, because “I have a duty to uphold the law” prohibiting such posting.
