11.7.2006 - It's official. Bailey Moseley has been elected to serve on the 6th Court of Appeals. East Texans provided an impressive 58% of the vote for Moseley in the November 7 election.
Winning with a margin of more than 26,000 votes, Moseley carried 14 of 19 counties in the 6th Court of Appeals District and received overwhelming majorities in the counties of Gregg (69.5%), Hunt (62%), Rusk (65%) and Harrison (62%).
"The biggest thing is just the tremendous amount of support I've gotten," Moseley told the Marshall News Messenger Tuesday night as he watched results come in with friends, family & supporters at his Marshall law office. "It's been kind of humbling, particularly when you're up against a quality opponent."
Replacing retiring Justice Don Ross, Bailey Moseley is the second Republican ever to be elected to the 6th Court of Appeals. Moseley will join Chief Justice Josh Morriss, III and Justice Jack Carter in January 2007.
